Oracle
No, I’m not an oracle, and no, I’m not a medium (whatever that means) and I’m also not enlightened in any way. Even though I’m a yoga teacher, I love ancient philosophy, I have a rose quartz stone on my night table, meditate regularly in lotus seat, and I use oracle cards from time to time.
I know it’s a very fine line between spirituality and simply humbug. Everyone draws their fine line differently and that’s alright.
Whenever I saw someone reading a tarot, doing aura photography (yes, it exists and people are willing to pay for this) or pulling out their oracle cards I rolled my eyes and thought “what a nonsense”.
And I need to admit I still think sometimes like that. I just don’t like it if people try to sell an easy answer to a complicated question. And that’s exactly what so many people do. It’s simply wrong.

And here comes the big BUT:
But I also see benefits in using oracle cards from time to time. It’s not to find an easy answer to a complicated question. It also does not show you the way, nor should oracle cards make decisions for you.
You are the person in the driver seat. You need to make decisions and need go your way. If you rely too much on such things as oracle cards you are not using your full intuition or the power within you.
Why I still use oracle cards?
Sometimes it’s just for intension setting, finding a new topic to think about, or bringing awareness to the present moment. I just pull a card and reflect on it. Sometimes I connect with the image or the words, but sometimes I don’t and that’s alright. Oracle Cards should enrich your life and inspire you to be more authentic and intuitive. If that doesn’t work for you – don’t do it. There are so many ways, to become more mindful, authentic, and more intuitive.
